Kim Kardashian Taken Out By Broken Foot
Reality star Kim Kardashian lamented her broken foot on Instagram this week. Posting a picture with the background song of “Clumsy,” Kim said she’s now getting around on crutches because of this injury.
Dealing with a broken foot can be a painful ordeal. However, we can manage an injury at Louetta Foot and Ankle Specialists, where our Spring and Tomball podiatrists can examine your broken foot, determine the severity of your injury, and provide you with appropriate treatment options.
Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment
While we don’t know exactly how Kim Kardashian broke her foot, we do know this. The cause of this kind of injury is simple: it happens when one of the bones in your foot ‘breaks’ or fractures. Bones typically break due to unnatural bending, crushing, or stretching beyond its natural capabilities. Usually, the location of the fracture indicates how the break occurred, whether it was through an object, fall, or any other type of injury.
Common Symptoms of a Broken Foot:
- Bruising
- Pain
- Redness
- Swelling
- Blue (foot)
- Numbness
- Cold
- Misshapen
- Cuts
- Deformities
If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, or suspect that you have a broken foot, you should seek medical attention that includes x-ray imaging. This is especially urgent if any of the symptoms include numbness, blue coloring, cold feet, cuts, misshapen toes or deformities as these indicate more severe cases. Luckily, we can provide in-office x-rays at our Spring and Tomball locations, so you can get the care you need without the long emergency room waits.
