What is Plantar Fasciitis?
When you have plantar fasciitis, it means you have inflammation in the connective tissues on the bottom of your foot. And because that band of tissue runs from your heel to the middle of your foot, it can cause heel and arch pain in your foot.
Causes
This inflammation results from stress on your plantar fascia. And that stress can come from a variety of sources, including:
- Lack of adequate footwear
- Obesity
- Excessive running
- Poor foot support
- Overpronation
Treating Plantar Fasciitis
