At Louetta Foot and Ankle we have a wide array of foot specialists. Some people suffer from ugly toenails and don’t realize it could be a fungus. For a variety of reasons, some people are much more likely to develop toenail fungus and other conditions that cause the nail to lose its natural appearance. While medicines are available to treat the fungus, these compounds may take some time to be effective and may never restore the nail to its normal appearance.
Our pedicurist is trained in a new technique that improves the appearance of nails damaged by fungus and other conditions.
This new technique is the KeryFlex Nail Restoration System.
KeryFlex uses polymer resins and special activators to create a durable, yet flexible artificial nail when exposed to a certain frequency of ultraviolet light.
In as little as 15 minutes, our pedicurist can create a realistic natural-looking nail in place of the damaged nail.
Our pedicurist does this, first, by removing most of the damaged nail, using a special nail clipper and file or dremel. After the old, damaged nail has been removed our pedicurist will begin the process of restoring the appearance of your nail: she will apply a bonding agent to attach the new nail to the remnant of your natural nail.
Next, our pedicurist will model KeryFlex Resin to your nail bed, cure the resin with a special frequency of ultraviolet light for two minutes, and then reshape the nail further, if necessary.
When our pedicurist has completed the procedure, you will leave the office with a natural looking nail.
Women may put nail polish on this nail, and they can also apply nail polish remover to the nail- the nail will not be affected in the least.
Men and women can engage in their normal exercise routines after their toe nails have been remodeled by KeryFlex. Schedule an appointment at louettafootandankle.com/contact-us
