Welcome the Latest Technology in Toe Nail Fungus Treatment

Louetta Foot and Ankle Specialists physicians are now offering the newest technology in the treatment of unsightly and painful toe nail fungus. The Hyperblue 1530 multi use diode laser, it’s one of the newest advances in the treatment of toe nail fungus. The laser treatment is a safe and painless option with no side effects and reduces the need for prescription drugs that can be tough on your liver.

How does the laser work?

The light from the laser causes a temporary increase in clear nails. This is done without causing any damage to surrounding tissues. The nail will not become instantly clear, it takes time and the nail will need to grow out.

How do I get started with Treatment?

You will need to contact our office and schedule a consultation and testing with one of our providers. Once this is done we will schedule you for treatment visits and any follow up visits as recommended by your provider.

Is the treatment painful?

Most people feel no pain. Some people say they feel a warm sensation.

Is there a recovery period?

No. Just walk in and walk out.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure takes anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes depending on how many nails are involved.

Will the fungus come back?

Your provider will discuss care techniques to reduce the recurrence of infection. There is a chance of reinfection because the fungus is everywhere in the environment. Preventive maintenance treatments are also recommended.

When can I pedicure or paint my nails?

You can apply polish anytime after treatment, but it is important to thoroughly remove all polish and any nail decorations the day before treatment.

How do I pay for treatment?

We accept credit card, cash or checks. You may also be able to use your flex spending account, Medical IRA or Health savings account.

Is this covered by my insurance?

If you have a health savings account, flex spending account or medical IRA, 100% of the cost should be covered. However, in most situations, this procedure is considered aesthetic and therefore health insurance plans do not provide coverage.

Is this treatment FDA cleared?

Yes, it is FDA cleared for temporary increase of clear nail in patients with Onychomycosis.
